I enjoy working with clients and am an actively engaged interactive therapist.
I bring to my work not only warmth, but also a sense of humor that puts people at ease. I provide a comfortable environment where you can talk easily.
It is most important to me that I provide a safe, supportive, collaborative, and non-judgmental environment. This allows you to come to new insights and puts you on the path towards the real changes that will promote your emotional health, support better relationships and improve the quality of your life.
Some people seek therapy because they suffer from very specific issues such as depression, anxiety or conflicts in relationships. Others, however, find it is difficult to identify why they feel that their lives are not going as they would like - and they desire to be happier and more fulfilled.
Psychotherapy can be useful in coping with difficult life situations. An experienced and supportive therapist helps you learn new coping and interpersonal skills and helps you emerge from a crisis not only with increased awareness and self-esteem, but with the ability to manage future difficulties.
At the outset, the goals of therapy can't always be clearly defined and the early work is often to gain a better understanding of what brought you to seek help in the first place. Before too long, however, it is important that we outline your particular goals and how I can help you attain them. Although your goals may change during the course of treatment (it is, after all, a journey of self-discovery), it is helpful to be guided by expectations and objectives.
